Blues Dominate Jets in Game 6 to Force Decisive Game 7
The St. Louis Blues erupted in the second period of Game 6, scoring four goals in a 5:23 span to defeat the Winnipeg Jets 5–2, evening their first-round series at 3–3. Cam Fowler, Brayden Schenn, Nathan Walker, Alexey Toropchenko (assist also), and Philip Broberg (assist also) each contributed to the goal count, while goaltender Jordan Binnington made 21 saves to secure the win.
Jets' goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was pulled for the third time in the series after allowing five goals on 23 shots. The series now shifts to Winnipeg for Game 7, marking the first-ever NHL Game 7 to be played in the city. Many fans are left wondering if the playoff lights will remain too bright for Hellebuyck or if he'll be able to return to regular season form where he helped lead the Jets to the Presidents' Trophy for the best record in the NHL regular season.
