The Las Vegas Aces were dismantled tonight by the Minnesota Lynx, losing 109–78 on the road. This was a second-night double digit loss and highlighted just how underprepared the Aces were without energy or execution.
What Went Wrong
The Aces shot just 38.0% from the field, while Minnesota hit 54.4%, dominating every quarter to build and extend a massive lead.
Jewell Loyd had one of the worst outings of her career—0 points on 0-for-10 shooting, including 0-for-4 from three.
Minnesota was led by, Napheesa Collier (25 pts, 9 reb) and Courtney Williams (23 pts on 10-for-12 FG), while the Aces didn't have players with 20+ pts.
Vegas falls to 12–13, while Minnesota remains perfect at home with an undefeated 14–0 record this season and a 22-4 overall standing.
Up Next: Las Vegas Aces vs. Dallas Wings on Sunday
The Aces head to Dallas on Sunday to face the Wings in another July road game.
What to Watch:
Can Loyd regain confidence? She needs to find rhythm fast after a nightmare night—it’s time for the role players to step up if Vegas wants to make a playoff push.
Can Coach Becky Hammon correct the course? Physicality, transition, rebounding, Vegas must respond with more intensity if this season is to be salvaged.
There’s no rest for this road-weary team—Sunday is both next chance and next warning.
