Las Vegas Aces Fall 70–68 to Mystics Without Wilson

The Las Vegas Aces suffered a heartbreaking 70–68 loss at the hands of the Washington Mystics tonight. With A’ja Wilson sidelined, the Aces had no answer when Washington mounted a comeback in the fourth quarter.

Down 66–60 with 3:16 left, the Mystics launched a 10–2 run. Brittney Sykes led Washington with 18 points, while Shakira Austin also contributed 16 points plus 8 rebounds, and Kiki Iriafen added 12 points and 8 rebounds.

Jewell Loyd led the game in scoring with 20 points, followed by Chelsea Gray (13 & 7 rebounds), Dana Evans (11), and Jackie Young (10 & 7 rebounds). Las Vegas drops to 9–11, while Washington climbs to 10–10 on the season.

A’ja Wilson’s sprained wrist further darkens the horizon— while there is not a fracture, no return date has been set.
