After a rough back-to-back stretch, the Las Vegas Aces bounced back in a major way with a convincing 106–80 win over the Dallas Wings today. This road win was exactly the kind of response Coach Becky Hammon had been hoping for, and the Aces delivered with energy, execution, and a whole lot of buckets.
Las Vegas Aces Find Their Groove Again
From the jump, Vegas looked ready to compete. The offense was fluid, the defense was active, and the energy was off the charts compared to Friday's disastrous loss to the Lynx.
Jackie Young led the charge with 24 points and 8 assists. Kierstan Bell and Jewell Loyd also added 19 and 20 points respectivly. While star A’ja Wilson put in 14 of her own points with an additional 10 rebounds to help the team.
The Aces shot 48.6% from the field, forced 11 turnovers, and racked up 30 assists—a clear sign the team was playing together and with purpose.
Vegas improved to 13–13 on the season, staying in the playoff hunt.
Next Up: Road Game vs. Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday
The Aces now head to LA to face the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday night. It’ll be another test, especially with LA currently just outside the playoff standings and looking to make a late season push.
What to Watch:
Wilson’s Dominance: Another strong performance will keep her in the MVP conversation.
Bench Production: Can the Aces continue to get scoring help from the second unit?
Momentum Matters: After snapping their losing streak, Vegas needs to stack wins to stay playoff-relevant.
