Pacers & Thunder Each Strike Twice In NBA Playoff Conference Finals

Thunder Turn Up the Heat in Game 2

The Oklahoma City Thunder are two wins away from the NBA Finals after another dominant performance, defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 118–103 in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. With the win, OKC now leads the series 2–0 as it shifts to Minnesota for Game 3.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, fresh off being named the NBA MVP, once again proved why, finishing with 38 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds. His backcourt partner Jalen Williams continued his strong postseason with 26 points, while Chet Holmgren added 22 points of his own.

Anthony Edwards led the Wolves with 32 points, and Julius Randle chipped in 22, but the team struggled to find a rhythm against OKC’s relentless defense. Game 3 tips tomorrow in Minneapolis as the Timberwolves already have their backs against the wall and will look to take full advantage of the home stand.

NBA Playoff Eastern Conference Finals Game 2: Knicks 109 vs Pacers 114

After a wild Game 1 overtime thriller, the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers faced off again tonight in Game 2 of the NBA Playoff Eastern Conference Finals. With another close game coming down to the final seconds, the Pacers were able to pull off another road win to go 6-1 this postseason on the road, and take a 2-0 series lead.

While a last second shot wasn't needed in Game 2 Tyrese Haliburton still put together a strong performance with 14 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds. His teammates were crucial in the victory though with 5 other Pacers putting up double digit points including Pascal Siakam's game high 39.

The Knicks kept to their usual plan with minimal bench support and had 3 players with 20 or more points a piece (Mikal Bridges-20, Karl-Anthony Towns-20, and Jalen Brunson-36). A stat that many question Tom Thibodeau on, especially if they want to get back in the series. Their refusal to adjust now leaves New York in a big hole with the series heading to Indiana for the next two games and Game 3 set for Sunday.
