Seahawks vs. Patriots Set for Sunday’s Big Game

The stage is set for Sunday’s biggest matchup of the NFL season as the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots prepare to collide under the brightest lights. It’s a clash of contrasting styles, star power, and storylines, with both teams dealing with headline worthy injuries just days before kickoff.

Seattle enters the big game with momentum on both sides of the ball, but there are some key health concerns to watch. Quarterback Sam Darnold is still battling an oblique issue, though he’s expected to suit up and lead the offense. On the defensive side, standout defensive back Nick Emmanwori is also expected to play despite an ankle injury.

The bigger blow for Seattle comes in the backfield. Zach Charbonnet, who has been a major part of the Seahawks’ two headed rushing attack all season, is out after suffering a torn ACL. His absence removes a physical, reliable option from the ground game and could put more pressure on Darnold and the passing attack to carry the load.

New England has its own injury storyline. Quarterback Drake Maye is dealing with a shoulder issue, but like Darnold, he’s expected to play. Maye’s poise and big play ability have been key to the Patriots’ run, and his health will be a major factor in determining how aggressive the offense can be.

With both starting quarterbacks expected to play through injuries and a key running back sidelined, Sunday’s matchup could come down to depth, adjustments, and which team handles the moment best. It’s the kind of game where one big play, one turnover, or one unexpected hero can swing everything.
