WNBA All Star Skills Challenge: Cloud Outpaces the Field
The Kia WNBA Skills Challenge unfolded tonight in Indiana with a stellar performance by Natasha Cloud (NY Liberty). She navigated the timed obstacle course—dribbling, passing, and shooting—in 34.1 seconds, fastest in the first round. In the finals, Cloud edged out Seattle’s Erica Wheeler by just 1.1 seconds, completing the course in 36.4 seconds. She earned the $55,000 prize.
3‑Point Contest: Ionescu’s Takeover
In the Starry 3‑Point Contest, Sabrina Ionescu (NY Liberty) delivered a dominant showing. She hit 25 points in the opening round and delivered another 30 in the finals—just seven short of her personal record. Ionescu thus claimed her second WNBA 3‑Point title, besting defending champ Allisha Gray—who notched 22 in the final round. Ionescu pocketed $60,000 prize money, plus became only the second player to win multiple WNBA All Star 3-Point Contests.
