Husker Domination & Belichick’s College Debut
Nebraska 68, Akron 0
There was no mercy on the gridiron. Nebraska absolutely crushed Akron in a 68-0 drubbing their biggest output since 2007. Quarterback Dylan Raiola was surgical: 364 passing yards and 4 TDs. RB Emmett Johnson powered the ground game with 140 rushing yards and 2 rushing and another receiving touchdown. The defense held Akron under 200 total yards to remain unbeaten.
Bill Belichick’s First College Win — UNC 20, Charlotte 3
The legendary coach added a new feather to his cap: Belichick earned his first collegiate win as the head man at UNC, downing Charlotte 20-3 in a rainy affair. Gio Lopez tossed a clutch 51-yard TD to open the game, and UNC's defense stifled the 49ers all game long. Marking a historic moment for not only Belichick but football as a sport in general.
