Hall of Fame Game Recap: Lions Outpace Chargers in Canton
Football is officially back! The NFL kicked off the 2025 preseason tonight (July 31) with the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, where the Detroit Lions fell to the the Los Angeles Chargers 34-7 in a game that had just enough highlights to appease fans' appetites for the real action ahead.
Although most starters were sidelined in typical early preseason fashion, the spotlight shone on rookies and depth players battling for roster spots. The most notable of which seemed to be Trey Lance and multiple Las Angeles Charges DBs. Lance threw for 2 TDs while 3 different Chargers accrued interceptions. Not to mention LA as a team forced 5 turnovers overall, including one on the opening kickoff of the year.
