Las Vegas Aces Hit 10 Straight Wins with Victory Over Mystics
The Las Vegas Aces are officially the hottest team in the WNBA. Today, August 23, they beat the Washington Mystics 91–81 to notch their 10th consecutive win, setting a new league-best streak this season.
A’ja Wilson powered the charge once again with a dominant 36 points and 13 rebounds, showing why she’s at the heart of MVP conversations. Dana Evens chipped in 21 points, while Jackie Young orchestrated the offense with 10 points and 8 assists, keeping the Mystics’ defense scrambling.
The Aces’ as a team shot over 52% from the field. While defensively, Las Vegas weathered Washington’s runs and forced 12 turnovers, holding strong when it mattered most. With the win, the Aces improved to 24–14 and tightened their grip on the No. 3 playoff seed.
Next Up: Aces vs. Chicago Sky
The Aces won’t have much time to bask in their streak. They head over to Chicago for a Monday matchup against the Chicago Sky. Chicago has been fighting to not be the worst team in the league and would love nothing more than to snap Vegas’ run.
The Sky lean on Angel Reese, which is not a sound stance as she only scores 14.6 points per game while her rebounding does help at 12.2 per game. So once again the Aces enter as clear favorites especially given their current momentum. If Wilson and company continue to dominate inside while keeping their perimeter defense sharp, win number 11 could be right around the corner.
