Brewers’ MLB Midseason Surge: From Overlooked to League Leaders


The Milwaukee Brewers are turning heads. With a MLB midseason 61–41 record and the best win-loss percentage in MLB (.598), they’ve burst out of the pack. What’s driving this? Overlooked veterans and breakout rookies:

  • Jacob Misiorowski, a rookie flame-thrower, became an All-Star after just five starts. His 100 + mph fastballs anchor Milwaukee’s revamped rotation.

  • Christian Yelich is having a renaissance—slugging 19 HRs, driving 66 RBIs, and looking more like his 2018 MVP self than other years of his career.


With strong pitching, balanced offense, and savvy management, the small-market Crew continues to defy expectations.


Ohtani's HR Streak Ties Dodgers Record


Shohei Ohtani has been on a power tear, homering in five straight games, tying the Dodgers’ franchise record (with 6 other players).

  • His 37th homer of the season came on a 441-foot blast off Chris Paddack in the first, but it ultimately led to a Freddie Freeman rally capping rbi two RBI at bat in the bottom of the 9th.


Ohtani’s five-game homer streak is a testament to his elite dual threat as he continues to make his comeback to pitching and a reminder why he remains baseball’s most electrifying player.


Tigers Stumble: Midseason Slump Deepens


Once atop MLB’s standings, the Detroit Tigers have fallen hard:

  • They hit a skid losing 9-10, and a recent sweep by the Pirates.

  • The brutal sweep by the Pirates, dropped Detroit’s record to 60–43, dropping them back to 6th in the overall standings after being in 1st for much of the year.


The Tigers must regroup fast—potential bullpen reinforcements and lineup tweaks are on everyone’s radar as the trade deadline fast approaches (7/31).
