Rockies Resurgence — Maybe Not the Worst Team Ever
The first half of the season, the Colorado Rockies seemed destined to become the worst team in modern MLB stat history. But recent wins have offered a glimmer of hope: they’ve shifted pace for 43 wins, which—while still atrocious—would spare them the 2024 Chicago White Sox’s record for the worst team ever.
The turnaround began after the All Star Break: Colorado has gone 8-8 since the midseason break although they were part of the trade deadline sell off.
While the season is still a disaster, the team’s improved competitiveness gives fans something to hold onto amid monsoon-level losing.
