On Friday night, Oakland Athletics rookie Nick Kurtz delivered an unforgettable performance—becoming the first rookie in MLB history to hit four home runs in a single game, going 6-for-6, with 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored in a 15–3 drubbing of the Astros.
With his night, Kurtz became just the 20th player ever to achieve a four-homer game, while comparatively only 24 perfect games have ever been pitched. He’s the first rookie to do it—all in his 66th career game.
