NFL Week 10 Breakdown Close Finishes & The Giants Coaching Shakeup

NFL Week 10 Recap: Tight Finishes, Road Tests & November Momentum Swings

The NFL Week 10 brought international drama, divisional tension, and a handful of games that came down to the final possession. Here’s how every matchup unfolded:

Thursday, November 6

Raiders 7 at Broncos 10

In a sloppy game for both teams Denver’s defense made the difference again, limiting Las Vegas’ big-play chances and holding off a late push to secure the home win.

Sunday, November 9 – Early Action

Falcons 25 at Colts 31 – OT (Berlin Game)

Indianapolis closed out the overseas thriller with an overtime touchdown after trading momentum drives throughout regulation.

Browns 20 at Jets 27

New York leaned on its defensive front to gain its second win in a row and for the season after outscoring Cleveland in the 4th to lock down the win.

Jaguars 29 at Texans 36

Houston broke the Jags defense in the 4th as they scored 26 points and came up with a final drive stop to take away Jacksonville's chances at a comeback.

Bills 13 at Dolphins 30

Miami pulled away in the first half behind consistent ball movement and offensive efficiency, and outlasted Buffalo's attempt at a comeback in the second half.

Patriots 28 at Buccaneers 23

New England executed in crucial scoring situations, edging Tampa with efficient drives and clock control as they recovered a onside kick to effectively end the game.

Giants 20 at Bears 24

Chicago’s defense held firm in the final quarter opening the door to a late comeback with under 2 minutes to go.

Ravens 27 at Vikings 19

Baltimore took charge in the second half after carrying a one point deficit into the half, then late, behind key defensive stops, were able to finish the job on the road.

Saints 17 at Panthers 7

New Orleans leaned on defense all afternoon, limiting Carolina’s offensive rhythm and grinding out a steady divisional win to earn rookie QB Shough's first victory.

Sunday, November 9 – Afternoon Slate

Cardinals 22 at Seahawks 44

Seattle lit up the scoreboard with a dominant play all around as they had a 38-7 lead going into the half before they set the cruise control in the second.

Lions 44 at Commanders 22

Detroit took control early and kept pushing, showcasing a balanced attack that overwhelmed Washington.

Rams 42 at 49ers 26

Los Angeles dictated the pace offensively, spreading the field and finishing drives to outdistance San Francisco.

Sunday, November 9 - Night Game

Steelers 10 at Chargers 25

LA and Pittsburgh both struggled to control the tempo with defense playing a major part in the outcome of this game, but ultimately LA was able to keep Pittsburgh in check throughout.

Monday, November 10 – Monday Night Football

Eagles 10 at Packers 7

In another defensive/lack of offense battle, Philadelphia was able to squeak out a win on the last drive where they left Green Bay out of field goal range.

Giants Fire Brian Daboll, Retain GM Joe Schoen

In a move shaking up the NFC East conversation, the New York Giants have fired head coach Brian Daboll while choosing to keep GM Joe Schoen in place to oversee roster construction moving forward as Offensive Coordinator Mike Kafka will step in as the Interim Coach.

The decision echoes the inverse of Miami’s earlier front office reset of firing their GM but keeping their head coach. In New York’s case though, leadership is signaling faith in their front office evaluation process while acknowledging the on-field product wasn’t evolving fast enough, even with 2 of their offensive stars being sidelined for the season in Skattebo (RB) and Nabers (WR).

This next hire could be franchise defining or at the minimum front office defining.
