North Carolina Gets Dismantled 48-14 By TCU
Last night was one to forget for North Carolina college football fans. The Tar Heels didn’t just lose—they got steamrolled in a primetime beatdown that left the stadium eerily quiet by halftime, and half empty only minutes into the third. After their opening drive the offense sputtered, the defense looked lost, and all hopes of a statement win evaporated early.
The 48 points that the Tar Heels gave up were the most that any Bill Belichick team has ever allowed over his lengthy coaching career. 41 of those came consecutively by TCU while putting the hammer down on a lowly North Carolina. Whatever the case, Carolina’s meltdown gave Bill plenty to jot down on his improvement notepad as very little went right after their opening touchdown drive.

With Alabama’s embarrassing showing, they plummeted out of the top 10, while Ohio State took the top spot and Florida State surged thanks to big statement wins. Meanwhile, LSU’s gritty victory over Clemson propelled them into the playoff picture conversation, while Iowa State's two victories gave them their own boost.
