Thunder Roll In Game 2 To Even NBA Finals

Game 2 OF NBA Finals: Thunder Dominate Leaving Series Deadlocked

The Oklahoma City Thunder responded in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, routing the Indiana Pacers 123–107 to tie the series 1–1. MVP Shai Gilgeous‑Alexander once again starred with 34 points. This made SGA hit the 3,000 point bar for the year between the regular and postseason making him only the 12th player in history to reach that mark. While the Thunder are the first team since the 2019 Toronto Raptors to have five players score 15+ points in an NBA Finals game. This included SGA, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, Alex Caruso, and Aaron Wiggins. OKC hasn't lost back to back games this postseason and it showed as they asserted clear control, bolting out to a 19–2 second-quarter run and maintaining dominance throughout. With the series shifting to Indianapolis for Game 3, OKC’s depth and defense have them riding high heading into hostile territory.

Preview: Game 3 in Indianapolis

Game 3 tips off Wednesday night in Indiana — a city hosting an NBA Finals game for the first time in 25 years. The Pacers will look to defend home court and avoid falling into a 2–1 hole. Key matchups:

  • Pacers: Will they find offensive consistency? Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam need to step up, particularly after being limited in Game 2.

  • Thunder: Can SGA sustain his efficiency (11/21 FG in Game 2? Watch for continued bench firepower — Caruso, Wiggins, and Williams— which provide offensive balance.

Expect a battle of adjustments, with pace, rebounding, and second-chance points shaping the outcome. A win would give either team a crucial edge heading forward.
