Las Vegas Golden Knights End Skid With 4–1 Road Win As Momentum Builds Before Sunday's Minnesota Back-To-Back

Las Vegas Golden Knights End Skid With 4–1 Road Win As Momentum Builds Before Sunday's Minnesota Back-To-Back

Las Vegas Golden Knights Snap Skid With a Strong 4–1 Win in St. Louis

The Las Vegas Golden Knights finally slammed the brakes on their four-game losing streak and they did it with authority. Vegas rolled into St. Louis, punched first, and never looked back in a decisive 4–1 victory over the Blues on Saturday night.

From the opening puck drop, the Knights dictated the pace. They struck twice in the first period to take early control, and unlike the past week’s frustrating late-game swings, Vegas refused to give St. Louis any air. Their most dangerous players stepped up when they needed it most. Pavel Dorofeyev and Reilly Smith both delivered multi-point nights, sparking an offense that looked far more like the high-tempo, balanced attack Vegas is built on.

Defensively, the Knights were sharp and structured. They limited St. Louis' shots, controlled rebounds protecting the crease, helping keep the Blues off the board until a late push that never truly threatened.

Despite the recent slide, two of those losses coming in overtime, Vegas had played far better than the standings suggested. Even with the skid, they entered the night just three points out of first place in the tightly packed Pacific Division. With this win, they remain right in the fight and can quickly climb back toward the top with a strong upcoming stretch.

And this performance? It looked like the spark they needed.

Back-to-Back Test: Vegas at Minnesota on Sunday

With no time to coast Vegas hits the ice again Sunday in Minnesota for the second half of a back-to-back. The Wild who took down the the Ducks today at home (which were in first place in the Pacific Division going into the game and now sit second behind the Kings) always make St. Paul a tricky stop.

Key priorities for Vegas in Game 2 of the set:

  • Lean on depth scoring to counter heavy legs

  • Simplify defensive zone exits to avoid Wild pressure

  • Stay disciplined as Minnesota thrives on momentum swings and special teams

  • Early goaltending stability, whichever netminder gets the call

A win for the Golden Knights would officially turn tonight’s momentum into a mini-run and tighten the Pacific Division race even further.
